The Perfect Ending

China was an amazing trip. I had so much fun, saw so many things, and learned so much from the people and the culture. But none of it could compare to what awaited me, not at home in Salt Lake like I thought, but in the LA airport.

I only noticed a couple of odd things that happened on our long flights from Beijing to Seoul, then from Seoul to LA. Pretty good considering the word had spread through my entire study abroad group that day that someone would be waiting for me.

But never had it even began to enter my mind that Matt would do something so amazing, that he would fly to LA early that morning to scope out the route I would take through customs and on to our next flight, to buy flowers, and then wait.

But that boy never ceases to amaze me.

As I unsuspectingly walked through the airport towards our next flight, our group stopped for a minute to wait for the rest to catch up, or so I thought. I turned around and almost lost it when I saw Matt standing there.

I was in shock and couldn't stop hugging him and couldn't take it all in fast enough because all of a sudden he was handing me roses and getting down on one knee. I've never been so happy in my life. It was the best present ever, and he got to fly home with me afterwards.

Jenny Eckton, after hearing the story, said that it was like a dream or a fairytale, and it really was. I couldn't ask for anyone more incredible!

It's fun being back and seeing him everyday and planning a wedding! It's just fun being in love! So I will officially be Nicole Cragun on August 2nd. I like the sound of it!
